Rookie Magazine Campaign
Completed as a Student Fall 2015 Under Alex Egner | ILLUSTRATION, AD, AND CW: Laine Dorsey

Rookie is an online magazine for girls. It's unique from other publications in that the editors and contributors aren't adults, they are teenagers themselves. Rookie publishes staff content as well as encourages online submissions (art, poetry, articles, and short stories etc.) from the public. The concept behind the campaign was to find a unique way to capture the attention of the target audience, girls ages 13-18, which is to give viewers something to play with. In utilizing games girls would be familiar with/are commonly seen in other teen publications, while giving them a totally different spin, the core qualities of the publication are promoted: female empowerment, open-mindedness, individuality, and authenticity.
